Requirements for PWPA Certification of Importer

I. REQUIREMENTS

A. For a first-time or new importer-applicant, who is principally an agent, or a contractor, or a trader (not a TLA-, IFMA-or WPP-holder)

2. Xeroxed copies to be submitted to PWPA or scanned copies to be emailed to info@pwpa.org.ph or pwpa1951@gmail.com:

- - DTI or SEC Certificate of Registration
  - Latest Municipal Business Permit
  - Latest Financial Statement
  - Current supply contract from foreign suppliers (logs, lumber, veneer, plywood, among others)
  - Vicinity or location map of the company/office

B. For a wood products importer renewing its membership to PWPA

2. Xeroxed copies to be submitted to PWPA or scanned copies to be emailed to info@pwpa.org.ph or pwpa1951@gmail.com:

- - Latest Import Dealer Permit or Certificate of Registration as Importer
  - Latest Municipal Business Permit
  - Latest Financial Statement
  - Current supply contract from foreign suppliers (logs, lumber, veneer, plywood, among others)
  - Vicinity or location map of the company/office, if applicable

C. Fees

a. New importer-applicant

II. BENEFITS OF BEING A PWPA IMPORTER MEMBER

Aside from receiving your Certificate of Membership in diploma and letter-type form, you are entitled of the following:

1. Participate to events and programs of the PWPA.
2. Receive invitations to B-B meetings, exhibits, for, among others from the government, embassies, and other countries.
3. Be represented in all government, non-government and other agencies in issues relating to importation, among others.

III. ON IMPORTATION / MULTI-SUPPLIERS

Importers can register all their suppliers to PWPA if their PWPA Certificate is active. Membership fee is collected only ONCE.
